Herzing Toledo and Hearts of Hope

May 12, 2010

The Medical Assisting students at the Herzing University-Toledo campus Hearts of Hope had a fundraiser serving hamburgers, hotdogs, chips and a drink to raise money for the YMCA battered women’s shelter. The money raised was used to purchase assorted Easter candy and stuffed animals to make baskets for the children that reside at the shelter.

A total of 16 baskets were made for children ranging from ages 2-14. The students delivered the baskets on April 2, 2010, ensuring that each child had a big Easter surprise.

Big thanks go to Sandie Tuttle, Medical Assisting Chairperson and the Hearts of Hope which is an organization that works toward creating a better community.
