Our Family is Growing!

March 3, 2010

Herzing Educational System announced today that it has opened its 16th campus in Brookfield, Wisconsin, which will serve students seeking master’s, bachelor’s and associate degrees and diplomas in healthcare, business, technology, design and public safety.  The Brookfield campus is now open and admitting students for its inaugural classes beginning on April 28 for the summer semester.

“We are very proud to welcome our new Brookfield campus to the Herzing family as part of our goal to increase our capacity to serve 20,000 students by 2012,” said Renée Herzing, president of the Herzing Educational System.  “This beautiful new campus is another important milestone in our growth plans, and we’re excited about the opportunity to once again expand our ability to help our students gain the education and credentials they need to move ahead in their careers as quickly as possible,” she added.

The Herzing Educational System has been growing rapidly over the past 18 months, with the addition of campuses in Toledo, Ohio; Kenosha, Wisconsin; and Omaha, Nebraska, plus the programmatic growth of master’s and bachelor’s degree programs across its 12 U.S. campuses.  Herzing University Online has experienced an enrollment increase of 250% since 2006, and the addition of more than 14 courses of study.

The Herzing Educational System now includes:

  • Herzing University-Online located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin with the Herzing Educational System headquarters;
  • Herzing University’s physical U.S. campuses located in Madison, Kenosha, and Brookfield, Wisconsin; Akron and Toledo, Ohio; Atlanta, Georgia; Birmingham, Alabama; Minneapolis, Minnesota; New Orleans, Louisiana; Orlando, Florida; and Omaha, Nebraska; and,
  • Herzing College Canada campuses located in Ottawa and Toronto, Ontario; Montreal, Quebec; and Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Herzing University-Brookfield is located at 555 S. Executive Drive and occupies about 13,000 square feet of space, with room for future expansion to double its size.  Ten classrooms and science/healthcare laboratories offer state-of-the-industry technology and experiential learning opportunities for students to gain the skills they will need to succeed in their future careers.  The campus features a library for studying on-site and the opportunity for students to take online courses as part of the University’s flexible learning model that allows students to choose classroom, online or a combination of both options to suit their needs.  The new Brookfield campus also provides free parking and is accessible by municipal bus lines.

We are very excited about our new campus and I am particularly excited because it is so close to home!
