Choiceortunity #24

Find your Sweets

Robert Lewis Stevenson wrote, “There is only one difference between a long life and a good dinner: that, in the dinner, the sweets come last.

Mr. Stevenson is a wise man, for life offers us something sweet along every single one of its paths.  From the moment we are born we create life long memories, legacies and a footprint in the lives of those we touch; something “sweet” for those around us.  Even when life hands you the proverbial lemons there is always a light or something sweet you can reflect on or see in the distance.  For this week’s Choiceortunity I’d like you to make a list of five words that represent the sweets in your life, write it on a post it note and put it somewhere where it can serve as a reminder.  Place it on your fridge, the front of your textbook or the screen of your computer where you can see it and reflect upon it.  Let it be a conversation starter between you and your family and friends.  Picking five “sweets” was easy; I’d like to share my list with you.

May the sweet things remind you of the wonderful things that make up this thing we called life.
