~A bit more about Alex~

Alex’s motto to live by: “When times are tough, I like to remind myself that, ‘This too, shall pass.’   Another rule I try to live by is, ‘Never take away a man’s dignity.  It may be the only thing he has left.’”

The best part of Alex’s job: “I get to work with some extremely talented people that are just plain fun to be around.  I have worked many places, with many people and I know how rare it is to be able to say that.  And of course, the students!  Trust me when I say that I learn more from you than you do from me.  I am constantly amazed by the grit, determination and resilience of my students who constantly show me that even in the face of overwhelming odds, it is possible to succeed.”

Words of wisdom from Alex: “Education is not necessarily a straight road and it never really ends.  There are many starts and stops, curves and bumps along the way.  It starts before you realize it and you never know where it can lead you.  There is one thing I can tell you with certainty about the education road; you will not find any shortcuts.  It requires an investment of time and dedication and if you are willing to make sacrifices, it can pay off one hundred-fold.  Knowledge is infectious and education is a bug that you spread to those around you.  You never know who your educational journey will inspire to follow in your footsteps.”
